Did Sydney Sweeney Call Off Her Engagement?

In March 2025, Sydney and her longtime partner Jonathan Davino ended their engagement. A source told Us Weekly that the couple had been struggling for a while, partly because of Sydney’s intense schedule.

“Sydney and Jonathan have been having major issues but are not fully split,” the insider said. “Things are not great right now, but they aren’t throwing in the towel yet. They are working on their relationship but have called off the wedding for now.”

Sydney and Jonathan had been together since 2018, and fans were shocked by the news. In a December 2023 interview with Glamour UK, Sydney reflected on her relationship and life in the public eye:

“I’ve been in a steady relationship for a really long time, which is not normal in this industry and not normal for my age,” she said. “What I’ve noticed about the idea of celebrity is people really love to build someone up and then tear them down.”

What’s Going On With Brandon Sklenar?

After being spotted with The Housemaid costar Brandon Sklenar at Stagecoach Festival, Sydney sparked dating rumors again. Sources and eyewitnesses shared their take on the vibe between the two.

“They are just really good friends, and Sydney is living her best life right now,” one source told Us Weekly, explaining that Sydney has “a flirtatious personality.”

But people who were there noticed something more. “Brandon was acting single. He was very attentive toward Sydney. It seemed like he was just there to have fun with her,” one eyewitness told Us Weekly. “It seemed like they were on a date together the whole night on Saturday.” They added that the two spent both Saturday and Sunday night together.

“They obviously had become friends from working together,” the eyewitness added. “Sydney is having a lot of fun in her single era right now.”

Still, neither Sydney nor Brandon has commented publicly about Stagecoach. In a recent Interview profile, the two reflected on their time working together. “One of my favorite things you told me when we were working together was how confident you were when you were auditioning for Spencer Dutton… It’s really fun talking,” Sydney said to Brandon.

It’s worth noting Brandon is in a long-term relationship with personal trainer Courtney Salviolo, whom he’s been dating since 2020. In March, he told Entertainment Tonight, “I actually met my partner on a dating app… I think it was Hinge.”
