The victim reported that he had arranged to meet a woman he met on the online dating app MOCO.
A shooting set up is being investigated by the Memphis Police Department (MPD) after a man was left injured on Friday, April 11.
Police responded to a shooting call at 1258 Dolan Drive around 3:30 a.m.
Officers discovered a victim with a gunshot wound at the scene, and he was also bleeding from a laceration above his eye.
The victim reported that he had arranged to meet a woman he met on the online dating app MOCO. He informed police that the woman was texting him from a TextNow number. According to the victim, he agreed to send the woman $5 on Cash App so she would meet up with him.
The woman allegedly arrived at his house in a light colored Chevy 4-door truck. The victim reportedly got in through the front passenger side of the truck when he was attacked from the back by an unknown man.
The victim managed to escape from the car but was shot at by the woman who was driving.
As he was walking up to his driveway, the unknown man got out on foot and fired two shots, striking the victim with the second shot.
Both men reportedly got into a fight before the suspects fled the scene in the Chevy truck.
