Bryce Mitchell believes his UFC 314 fight against Jean Silva this upcoming weekend (Sat., April 12, 2025) is a battle of “Good vs. Evil.” And while he doesn’t consider himself “good,” he does claim to fight in the name of good … and Jesus Christ.
For someone so heavily influenced by Jesus, Mitchell is a relatively recent convert to Christianity. In a new podcast with Anthony Smith, “Thug Nasty” described his “Come to Jesus” moment from a few years ago.
✝️ Bryce Mitchell reveals that in the past he dated a witch who was possessed and was destroying his life, and that’s how his spiritual changes started.

“I was dating a witch,” Mitchell revealed. “She became fully possessed, was destroying my life and then I casted her out in the name of Jesus. Since then, my eyes have been completely open to the spirit realm and I know that everything around us is actually spiritual.”
Mitchell went into the situation more deeply during an interview with MMA Guru.
“I was living a life a sexual pervertedness and I started dating a witch, like a spell-casting witch,” he said (via MMA Weekly). “It was a literal witch … She said, ‘I only do good magic. I don’t ever do bad magic.’ She called bad magic black magic. She said, ‘I only do white magic.’ I thought, ‘This woman is nuts, but we can still have a relationship.’ And then she became fully possessed one day by demons. She was not speaking English. She was destroying my home.
“She was punching out windows,” Mitchell continued. “She punched out a window and her blood was all running down her arm and her shoulder. And she started killing my tomato plants. I grabbed her and threw her away from my garden and said, ‘Don’t touch my tomato plants!’”
“Thug Nasty” alleges that this demon woman threatened to stab herself and tell the police it was him. This is where Mitchell — a self-described atheist — turned to Jesus and called on him to help cast this demon from his life.
“I said, ‘Demons are real, I’m looking at a demon,’” he recalled. “And then I said, ‘In the name of Jesus Christ I command all evil to leave this household.’ She stopped talking. She walked to me. She did an upside-down cross and touched me with the upside-down cross and she said, ‘You’ll lose every fight for the rest of your life and all of your children will die.’ And then she left.
“Not another word was said, and I never spoke to her again,” Mitchell concluded. “And that was the last thing she said, but I casted her out in Jesus’ name.”
Mitchell hopes to cast the demons out of Silva (seriously) at UFC 314 when they fight inside Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.
