Tiger Woods’ children, Sam and Charlie, have reportedly given their nod of approval amid claims he is dating Vanessa Trump. The golf legend, who was previously married to Elin Nordegren from 2004 until their split in 2010, has two kids aged 17 and 16.

Since his divorce, Woods has been linked to several women, including ski champion Lindsey Vonn and Erica Herman. Now, rumours are abuzz that he’s courting Vanessa Trump, the ex of Donald Trump Jr. Despite the controversial associations with the Trump name, reports claim that Woods’ children are supportive of their dad’s potential new love interest. To avoid any unnecessary drama with his ex-wife Elin, Woods reportedly made sure to inform her of the situation before it hit the headlines.

A source who claims to be close to Woods, told the Daily Mail: “She likes the kids; they like her. So there was really no reason for any drama with Elin. it was more of a call so she didn’t learn about it in the news.”

This candid conversation, which allegedly took place between late December and early January, was intended to reassure Nordegren about Woods’ growing connection with Vanessa.

The insider added: “Tiger knew it was going to get out eventually so he had to make the phone call to Elin before his love life ended up in the newspapers again. He’s made this call before about other women – but never like this.”

Despite their highly publicised split, the pair have seemingly moved on and are civil with each other. The conversation regarding Trump is believed to have only lasted a few minutes and was described as “pleasant, almost friendly”. However, the news that Woods is allegedly dating someone linked to the Trump family left the former model surprised.

The source added: “Her response at first was like, ‘Seriously? A Trump? For real?’ She was more amused than anything. But she really quickly just accepted it.”

Vanessa was married to the son of the US president from 2005 to 2018, and her daughter, Kai Trump, is a talented golfer. On the other hand, Woods will concentrate on his recovery from a recent torn Achilles injury.

He announced the injury in a post on social media. He said: “As I began to ramp up my own training and practice at home, I felt a sharp pain in my left Achilles, which was deemed to be ruptured.

“This morning, Dr. Charlton Stucken of Hospital for Special Surgery in West Palm Beach, Florida performed a minimally-invasive Achilles tendon repair for a ruptured tendon. ‘The surgery went smoothly, and we expect a full recovery,’ added Dr. Stucken. I am back home now and plan to focus on my recovery and rehab, thank you for all the support.”
