Patrick Schwarzenegger may be off the market when it comes to his love life but his dating history is piquing fans’ interest all over again, courtesy of his appearance on The White Lotus season 3. 

Set in Thailand, the third season of the show sees Schwarzenegger playing spoiled rich brat Saxon Ratliff, the eldest son of North Carolina native Timothy (portrayed by Jason Isaacs), a wealthy entrepreneur, and his wife Victoria (portrayed by Parker Posey). While his on-screen character is seen trying hard to score with women, the actor is a lot more charismatic and grounded, despite his Hollywood background.  

As the eldest son of the actor and former Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger and journalist Maria Shriver, Patrick’s got fame and fortune in his DNA. In October 2012, when Patrick Schwarzenegger was in his late teens, he was spotted getting cosy with Disney Channel darling AJ Michalka. One half of the pop duo Aly & AJ, alongside her sister Aly Michalka, AJ was already a familiar face in the entertainment scene.

Schwarzenegger had just finished filming his scenes for Grown Ups 2 (2013), a few months prior, alongside AJ’s sister Aly and that’s perhaps where the connection started.

The rumour mill started churning when Patrick and AJ were photographed arriving together at Mathew Morrison’s annual Halloween bash. Schwarzenegger rocked a Peter Pan costume, while AJ dressed up as Mad Hatter. 

They left the event together all smiles, and were even snapped shopping for costumes earlier that day.

Although their Halloween outing looked like a blast, the pair never made any more public appearances together. Their possible romance fizzled out before it even began.

Taylor Tootsie Burns was Patrick Schwarzenegger’s college sweetheart at the University of Southern California (USC). It was during his freshman year that he started dating her.

The pair’s whirlwind romance was filled with exotic getaways, PDA-filled vacations, and plenty of quality time together. They were first spotted sharing a kiss while swimming in Maui, Hawaii, during spring break in March 2013. Before that, they’d been seen getting cosy in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

As their relationship heated up, Tootsie Burns joined the Gen V actor on a luxurious family vacation to Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera in June 2013. The pair looked adorable together, and it seemed like their love was strong.

However, after a few months of non-stop travelling and public appearances, things started to slow down. By early 2014, the duo had gone their separate ways. But, in a surprising twist, they were spotted getting flirty again in 2015. Guess you could say their college romance was a bit of an on-again, off-again affair!

The next name to make it to the dating history of Patrick Schwarzenegger is pop sensation Miley Cyrus. In November 2014, Schwarzenegger and Cyrus set tongues wagging when they were spotted getting cosy at a USC football game. The pair’s PDA-filled afternoon at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum marked the beginning of their highly publicised romance.

As it turned out, the two had been friends for years, running in the same social circles and sharing mutual friends. Their friendship eventually blossomed into something more, but unfortunately, their romance was short-lived.

By spring break 2015, The White Lotus actor and the “Wrecking Ball” singer had already gone their separate ways. Insiders told PEOPLE, their relationship “fizzled out” due to their vastly different lifestyles and interests. Cyrus, being the free-spirited artist that she is, and Schwarzenegger, being the charming but more low-key actor, just couldn’t make it work.

However, the split was reportedly amicable. 

Abby Champion (2015 to present)

Following his brief romance with Miley Cyrus, Patrick Schwarzenegger found true love in late 2015 with stunning model Abby Champion. The two met in 2015, when Abby was just starting her modelling career in Los Angeles, and Schwarzenegger was still a student at USC.

Their romance began with a cosy night out at West Hollywood’s Nice Guy, and by February 2016, they were Instagram official. Since then, the adorable celebrity couple has been inseparable, attending premieres, galas and private events together.

Schwarzenegger gushed about Champion’s supportive nature, telling E! News in September 2019, “I think the best part about having her by my side is that she’s always rooting for me and wanting the best for me and bringing out the best in me.” He added, “I always say that in a relationship, you have to be each other’s biggest cheerleader. Build each other up. And she does that for me.”

After years of love, laughter, and adventure, Schwarzenegger proposed to Champion in December 2023, and she said yes! Although they’re still busy planning their dream wedding, the Midnight Sun actor admitted to InStyle in January 2025 that they haven’t set a fixed date due to their hectic schedules. But as Schwarzenegger put it, “We’ve been together 10 years, so it’s like we’re basically married.”
